About New Student Orientation
Welcome to Liberty High School! Our goal during new student orientation is to familiarize new students to the Liberty campus environment and physical facilities, to provide a welcoming atmosphere for students to meet faculty, staff, and student ambassadors, as well as other new students, and to provide the families of new students comprehensive information about the academic and student support resources and programs. Students will spend time in their advisories reviewing schedules, the Advisory/PAWS program, and visiting their lockers for the first time. Students will then have an opportunity to visit each of their first day of school classes and meet their teachers. This will allow them to become familiar with the building and how to move from class to class before the first day of school.
Families of new students are invited to choose from a variety of informational sessions to attend while new students are participating in their activities. Sessions include: A Day in the Life of a Lion - buses, lunch, schedule, PAWS, locker, PE uniform, clubs, eligibility (Designed for the first time high school parent), College and Career Readiness/Graduation Requirements, Career Development/Completers/Internships, Supporting your Student and LHS, Cell Phone Use/BYOD/Technology Resources for Success, and Parent Involvement sponsored by our PTSO and Boosters groups. Parents may choose 3 sessions to attend during orientation time.
